Gorman Falls & Catfish Fin

LithoFusion Experiment with Video

Just got back from a little motorcycle touring and camping trip to Colorado Bend State Park in Bend, Texas.

So peaceful and beautiful out there and the only drama was an armadillo I startled at night with my flashlight. My hammock was hung in a tree that grew out at an angle creating sort of a natural gazebo. There was soft grass below and so I thought it'd be a perfect spot. Evidently, it was also a favored spot by the local wildlife as well.

One night, after hearing some stirring in the tall grass, I pointed my flashlight in the direction of the noise and then saw something bigger than a cat but heavy... charge at me and bouce off my leg. Seemed to have short legs. The next night my friend Scott who was camping with me, shown his flashlight in the same area when we heard the same noises, and discovered a decent-sized armadillo rustling about.

The following night, I woke up to something large a few feet from my hammock and it sounded perterbed as it snorted from it's nostrils. I made some noise an it ran off, but by the sound I'd guess that one was likely a deer. So glad it decided not to use it's horns to rush me in my hammock like a live human pinata. ;)

One afternoon, we hiked down to the nearby Gorman Falls and I grabbed a few video clips. I thought mixing them with some clips I also got of one of the fisherman's big catfish fins, might make nice source for a little experiment using the same techniques I utilized for my LithoFusion Series but with video instead.

Enjoy and please let me know what you think in the comment section below! :)
